Comedy Cafe 16th November 2001
The club didn't actually open till 7pm on the dot, so a number of us who were early, met at a pub on the way in for an extra drink. We got in and were immediately seated with nearly 60 other Spicers. A very good turnout indeed. We very served very quickly with our meal.
I was a bit unadventurous with just a burger for my main course, but it was fine. The entertainment consisted of a compere introducing 3 comedians. The comperes job was obviously to make the other 3 look good. And he did a very good job of it, I think some people preferred the 2nd comedian, an American, but I liked the last one.
We could have stayed and danced till 2am, but my body was quite drowsy after the unexpected eating experience. So we left about 1am, the same time as Toni was operating her Taxi service to North London.
