Spice waterskiing and zap cats (14th july 2001)
Another good day on the water. This time on a different lake at the Princess club with some tight corners which proved difficult for a number of people. For once I didn't seem to have a problem myself as I launched succesfully every time on the knee boards and the waterski's must be getting the hang of this watersports lark.
Steve was more impressive though as he managed to get round on a single ski.
After a while a number of us switched to another lake to jump in the Zapcat, these were quite powerful flat bottomed boats that could turn on a sixpence. If you are sitting next to engine this isn't a problem, if you are in the front however it requires you to have a grip of death or be thrown out. Great fun though. My ability to hang on seemed to enable us to go faster as we lapped the other boat a number of times. I knew all those hours climbing would come in handy one day.
