60's Party Weekend 15/11/2002
Myself and John had quite an epic trip to Pwlhelli in North Wales. An extra event was the rally driving along the Welsh roads. We got their in pretty good time though and were able to see the first of many bands. The list included The Dreamers, The Fortunes, the Midnight Dynamo's, the Foundations and the Swinging Blue Jeans.
It was nice to meet Ron from Turkey again, and we soon got chatting to a few people. The disco after the bands till 2am was good fun. I quite enjoyed the party dances, boys against girls doing Grease. Needless to say I was slow to get up the next morning. So missed the rock'n'roll class that John did. I had a go at the salsa, but ducked out when I had other peoples feet to avoid.
We went into the local town then with Nicole and Josse to get a good meal at the local pub and get some welsh delicacies from the bakery. Refueled we returned and Myself, John, Ron and Martin entered the karaoke contest and brought the house down with our renditions of "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "I'm a believer". A bit of chilling out then off into Wales again to a good meal at a local pub. Angela and Carol joined the Spice boys and Josse and Nicole for this outing.
Back then in time to see the end of the Foundations, a Salsa demonstration and the finale of the Swinging Blue Jeans before more party Disco till 2am, then staying up chatting till 3.30 or so.
This saw another late start the next day, Myself, John, Ron, Angela and Carol went back to the local pub for lunch again, and enjoyed it so much that myself and John left it till the last minute to visit Portmeirion before the light ran out.
