Walk for a Cure 12/10/1997

Myself and Dee turned up for this "MAX" event. The start of this charity walk was at Brock Barracks in Reading, you had a choice of distances to walk and we picked 13miles as we figured we could easily run that distance in a half marathon.

Dee set off at a healthy pace, so much so that we passed a bunch of marching squaddie types who's leader remarked "make way for the professionals". We kept the pace up all the way round even though it was quite a hot day, apart from one short stop at a pub for refreshment.

It certainly was a good day, and of course we raised some money for Cancer research which was good, however my legs ached for about 4 days afterwards.
