Gite Week  11-17/05/2002

Quite a number of us departed on the saturday from Stanstead on the same buzz flight. It was over quickly and we all piled into hire cars at the other end. Angela drove, and with the help of mike navigating, got us to the gite first, despite the fact that we lost the people we were following.

The Gite was certainly spacious and we were well looked after by the weather which apart from a shower on barbecue night, was baking. On the days we ventured out in the car we saw some impressive caves, with Susan, Pete, and Mike. Angela and myself also visited a cathedral carved out of solid rock.

We had a muderer amongst us in the Gite and I was an early victim before Anson succesfully deduced Karl was responsible. By the end of the week the pool was very much in use as well. All in all a very relaxing holiday.

Many thanks to Viv and Anson for organising and great thanks go to our hosts Claire and Danny. You can see more details of the accomodation we had at the link below.
