Time again for the London Marathon, just Dee and myself this year, but we did have the advantage of places at the green start.
Green start. The start was very fast and I quickly got ahead of my schedule. The cool wheather and drizzle also helped.
Ann waved me on at rotherhithe, and rita, paul, sylvia , jim, teresa, kevin, and jon all cheered me on at 14 and 21 miles.
found I had quite a bit of energy left at the finish and stormed in at 2:55, Dee was a little bit slower than last year at 3:31.
After the race I joined Rita and Paul for a celebratory drink at their flat and then for a burger and some more beer down the local pub, though it was chucking down
by this time which couldn't have been nice for the stragglers.
