Brian Turner 09/03/2006

Left work to go to the millennium hotel in Grosvenor Square for the meal. Christine had helped me organise. The restaurant the Brian Turner of Mayfair was certainly posh enough but as usual Christine had found a good deal. Started off with a creamy sputnik cocktail and tried a Glenfidditch sour but it was too whiskey like so Rob helped me finished that one and I went on to the Budvar's. Wendy joined us for a drink and Sylvia, Sandra, Simon, Jennifer, Rita, Victoria and David, Tony, Jacquie and Andrew and Fodo were also along to make a big group. We were shown into the restaurant to our own area with two big tables with the comfiest chairs I have ever sat in in a restaurant. Most people went for the deal menu and the duck was certainly popular on our table and you certainly got a good portion. The Jaffa cake dessert also made a good showing and was delicious. A very good choice by Christine. Jacquie did a good job of sorting out the credit cards and Tony got me and Jennifer home, so I was well looked after for the evening.
