Nick Weekend 29/06/2007

Drove to Llywnin in Wales for Nick's weekend. Had a bit of a mare getting round the M25 added 2 hours to my journey. Got to the cottage quite late. We were not to blessed with the weather this weekend. There was a severe weather warning and lots of rain. But was nice to see Charlie and Paula, Claire and Jo and Nick Pope again also met a lot of new faces. Scott, Greg, Sean, Trevor, Ben, Caroline to name a few. The first night we spent in the place drinking beer and sitting around the fire till 1am. I had a quite challenging bedroom at the top with a very low ceiling and a water cistern near my head. But it didn't bother me.

Up for breakfast at 9pm with the intention of setting off at 10.30 am put by the time we had got everyone assembled in the Craig y Nos country park car park it was gone mid day. The weather was a bit miserable but we went for a walk anyway, though shorter than the planned one due to the conditions. We stopped off at a pub for an appropriate pint of Adnams explorer. Then back to the farmhouse to prepare the lasagna for the evening meal. It was a good meal and we had meringues as well. We had to watch Doctor who as well, after dinner we played charades for a while and then Gargle for a little while before retiring.
