Off to Shepherd Market and the Market Tavern for beer no birds night. The normally quiet streets in that area were packed with people overflowing from the quadrangle of pubs. We stayed extra long at the first pub enjoying drinking outside, but it cooled down gradually and we went indoors at the next one. The football was playing but as England weren't in the european tournament it didn't distract us much. It looked a bit like rain but it wouldn't have bothered us much if it had rained as the distance between the pubs was so short. We did however get a shock at the 4th pub as it had run out of ale, which was a shame as they advertised Cask Ale. But we pushed onto the Only Running footman, which was a kind of cross between a pub a wine bar and a restaurant, but it had some nice ales.
