Martini Tasting 18/11/2008
off to the hide bar in Bermondsey. Christine, Sid, Will and Penny were there for the Martini tasting. Had a nice titanic stout to start with and then a brooklyn IPA that Will had first tried, we then got into the cocktails proper and tried the first martini which had been written down in about 1850. This was quite sweet and I enjoyed it a lot, we gradually worked up to the modern day. Trying one with lots of lemon peel in it and the vespa made popular by James Bond amongst others. There was in fact too many free cocktails, I felt quite drunk by the end of it and had to leave early.
