I woke up at 7.30 am and caught the early train to Dorking from Waterloo. At Dorking I met Elena and Binh and her Doctor friend. We got registered and changed into togas and then Bryan, Andrew,Adam, Judit, Charlotte, Charlotte, Christel, Steve, Nirada, Alasdair etc arrived. We started about in the middle of the pack and so we had a little bit of position juggling at the start. The first wine stop was quite busy and they were struggling to pour the wine quick enough at the next stop but after that things calmed down a bit as we let folks pass us by. we got up the hill with no problem and we were greeted with a bagpipes band at one stop and a steel band at another. We had a good chat with some cheerleaders at the final stop who had done some similar events around the world. We cruised into the finish and tucked into our hog roast and then an extra roast from a ticket we found and then some extra wine. We laid out in the sun for a while then headed to the pub where I had a coors light before catching the train back to waterloo.
