I did a little bit of work the. Caught the standard express to stansted arriving just after 11am. We met up with Phil in a wheelchair as he came through customs. We found a space in the Wetherspoons and we got a Coors light to start of easy. The flight was an easyjet one and was quick and uneventful. We landed and got through customs and made straight for a. At and had a beer while we waited for mike to arrive who was on a slightly different flight. We purchased a 5 person rail ticket and also met Andrew. The train seemed to take a while but the hotel Concorde though in a bit of a dodgy area was easy to walk to and the rooms were really good. We met in the bar about 7 and walked with Phil to the Augustine Beauvais. Where we met our first set of wooden benches for the weekend. However the beer was good and the barmaid was very helpful. We waited for Andrew to arrive then ordered food. I had a sausage fest and we also bought around of shots for the whole table including some Germans on our table. We walked back eventually and found ourselves in the sports bar in our street which had lots of tributes to Mohammed Ali who had just died.
I woke quite late because I hadn’t set a. Alarm. I used the hotel WiFi to plot a route to the English gardens near the pagoda. I found Phil, Mike and Adrian there and we had a few beers and some ribs. After that Phil caught a tram and a few of us took the scenic walk back past the surfers. We also got a very nice sculpted ice cream. In the hotel bar . The evening Chris had arrived and we walked to the paulaner brauhaus. This was a bit more like a restaurant and we had a table to ourselves. I had a couple of nice farmers at the start and roast pork followed by a sorbet called the fairy of the brauhaus . We were a little subdued compared to the night before but still managed to stay out late outside the Kennedy's irish bar.
I got up to meet the others and me Phil and Adrian did a bit of a walkabout in some drizzle. We bought a whippy wallet for the bnb whip and we stopped in a nice Italian place to shelter from the two. That served me a funny darker. We then had a snack I had a warm luncheon meat bun and the others had bratwursts. We found another brauhaus weisses and had a another beer and was joined by Andrew. We went to another brauhaus then which had very copious umbrellas which was just as well as it started raining again. I eventually walked home on my own for a power nap. In the evening g we walked to the gigantic.h hofbrauhaus and we got. Table upstairs to ourselves. I had a low up cushion by then I had bought earlier. I had roast pork again but with some potatoes for vegetables. The beer was good and when we finished we moved downstairs to have another beer and enjoy the oompah band. When the hofbrauhaus closed we moved onto a small table in another bar and when that closed we had one last one in the sports bar again.
Up for breakfast for some non pork related foodstuffs. After breakfast we checked out for 11 and took a train in and stopped at the rischart cafe. Which was upstairs on a balcony. It was sunny windy and rainy at different points to and I had a coffee a darker and a Costa Rico a coffee with ice cream I. It. We then made our way back to the hotel and picked up our luggage then caught the train to the airport. We had a bit of a delay as the flight was delayed but not too bad, I did not succumb to the temptation of a beer in the airport. Flight was uneventful and I got the stand read express back to London . It was chucking down a bit.
